Recruiter - Ghent


As a recruiter you will to help us further grow our presence in Europe through recruiting both graduate and experienced candidates. 

You will plan, coordinate and drive hiring activities and be responsible for the full life cycle. Turning profile requirements into an effective sourcing strategy, using an appropriate combination of direct sourcing and referrals to approach, attract and develop candidate interest. You’ll then work hand in hand with candidates and internal clients guiding them through our process.

Working out of our global headquarters in Ghent, you’ll have the opportunity to partner with leaders within ML6 across Europe to scope out requirements, interact with candidates consulting with them on a potential career move and leverage the expertise and support of an established experienced professional team dedicated to providing the highest level of client and candidate service.

You will work to understand the talent needs within our space of machine learning services and will work with ML6 leadership to determine hiring targets. You will develop relevant profiles and specifications and identify improvement opportunities where you see them.

You’ll build extensive relationships with the data science communities in our regions to enhance ML6's market position, and further build out campus recruitment activities.

You will be involved and responsible for broader value-add projects. As a subject matter expert you will develop and share best practices to coordinate ongoing activities and events.

You will have a pivotal role in a fast paced, global and growing company. You will be able to take full responsibility and not only drive the process but creatively contribute to developing best practices around recruiting.



  • Have minimum 2-3 years of technical sourcing experience with an in-house recruiting team or search firm, including screening candidates for technical proficiency
  • Have a Bachelor or Master degree
  • Be fluent in English and Dutch. French is a plus.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced recruiting environment with the ability to take initiative with little direction
  • Strong interest in the digital world, keen to follow industry trends and savvy enough to discuss details with technical people
  • Be flexible and comfortable with ambiguity particularly in the context of evolving search parameters or timelines
  • Have exceptional organizational and administrative skills; high attention to detail; and the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and carry them out independently
  • Be an excellent communicator with a ‘can do’ mindset
  • Have a professional attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Desire to continuously improve the way we hire, discover distinctive digital talent and to provide an exceptional candidate experience
  • Have a good understanding of candidate management
  • Have strong interviewing skills
  • Be service oriented and able to understand the business needs of a machine learning services firm
